2 days, 2 nights, one National Park, the 3rd Biggest City in Portugal (Braga), the City Birth of Portugal (Guimarães), the oldest town in Portugal (Ponte de Lima), one beautiful Quinta and some memorable moments that we brought back from this beautiful Verde Minho

4000m dive! Amazing! And of course we also took the advantage to enjoy our beautiful Alentejo. André Cester Costa - August 2009 See pics in Gallery Alentejo Sky Our most recent travel was to Sardinia, last March. Off-season, for 5 days, we could travel around the island without mass-tourism implications and actually see how "Sardi" make their living...
We explore Cagliari old town, before renting a car to explore the rest of the Island. We had only four days, so we had to make options. We decided to skip Alghero and the North part of the Island, and explore the "out of the track" Piaggia de las Piscinas (Beach of the swimming-pools) in Costa Verde, Tharos Phonecian town, Nuraghe Losa and its 13th century BC arqueological site, the Orgosolo village and murals and the beautiful Golfo de Orosei... When we can, we will return to explore what was missed! André Cester Costa - March 2010 See pics in Gallery Sardinia In the summer of 2007, me and my good friend J went exploring the Balkans! If you are expecting that the former Yugolasvian countries are similar, prepare for the opposite. We travelled in four countries: Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Montenegro and we found diversity in Culture, Landscapes, Religions and People!

In 2005 I had the chance of visiting them and explore the Northeast Coast of Brazil. Warm people, unspoiled natural landscapes and unknown villages and beaches (like Coqueirinho)...you can find it all in Brazil. Travelling with two friends by car and buggy, we explore this wonderful coast, with over 300kms, from Genipabus to the easternmost point of the South American continent - "Ponta do Seixas". André Cester Costa - October 2005 See pics in Gallery Brazil While visiting Natasa (still in Serbia at the time) in the Summer of 2008, we decided to go by car to discover Albania... Despite all the warnings about how unsafe it could be, specially with a Serbian car and my Serbian wife...Nevertheless we hit the road, and we had a wonderfull week.
Besides Enver's Bunkers and 99% Mercedes cars, what we remember the most, was the truly hospitable people that we found... We missed Tirana, but we know we will go back there again...soon! In the kingdom on the edge of Africa, peace you can only find deeply in Sahara. In the cities - never - because people work, have fun and even pray in the streets. Frolic Marrakech proofs this. It's square Djemaa El-Fna is the world's capital of colours, smells, music, games, snake-charmers, monkey trainers, fortune and story tellers, tattoo-artists... and everything is available for a couple of coins. For some coins Moroccan will do anything for you - let you hold baby-goat, ride a camel, take you to the hidden waterfalls... In the kingdom of wonders, everything is possible, even to have, just for a moment, the necklace of a real snake. We made a 3 weeks Jeep Safari. Entered Morocco in Tanger, travelled along the coast, dig deep into some Oasis, slept in the Desert, got lost in the High Atlas, passed by unknown villages, visited the Imperial Cities and came back to Europe through Ceuta. One journey surely to remember. André Cester Costa - June 2009 See pics in Gallery Morocco Last Setember we had four amazing days in sunny Madeira. This small island lost in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, won't let anyone indiffent. It has caracther, breath-taking landscapes and very hospitable people.
Despite being an island, the most beautiful part for us was the interior, and the scenic "Levadas" walks along the mountains. Recently Madeira suffered an horrible tempest, but we are sure that soon, it will regain all it's beauty. André Cester Costa - September 2009 Pics in Gallery Madeira |
