Egypt...
Before the Nile, we met the Mediterranean. Windy Alexandria was a nice start, that prepared us for an unbelievable and unstoppable 2 weeks dive in the Egyptian culture and life… Travelling mostly in non-touristic means of transportation, we visited the touristic Pyramids, the amazing Bazar of Khan-al-khalili, but also the unknown markets of Cairo, where you could actually see how those 20 million inhabitants lived! We saw the mummies in Egyptian Museum, the Ramses II temple in Abu Simbel, we took the Felluca and sailed in the Nile, we visited the tombs in valley of the Kings, the Karnak temple, the Luxor temple, and we saw Luxor from the sky…and how people actually live…we travelled for 26hour with the train, bus, taxi and bus again, before we relaxed in the Red Sea…relaxed, snorkelled, got in a camel for 3 hours, lunched in a Bedouin village and walked “over the sea”… just before heading back home…
