10 days were enough, but it felt short!
We never stopped. We made surely over 10kms walking per day. We drove over 1.100kms. We flew for almost 30 hours. But we rested our minds and soul :)
Getting there: Aveiro - Madrid - Dubai - Bangkok - Siem Reap! :)
We emerged into the Cambodian life and culture. We visited Angkor Wat, the largest single religious complex in the world, and surely one of its few unquestionable Wonders. It's difficult to understand that the restoration of this amazing complex started only in the 20th century. Better late than never.
But before visiting Ankgor Wat and many of its temples, we cycled some jungle around Siem Reap, went in local villages and we were taken by boat to the floating village of Kompong Khleang and to the lake Tonle Sap.
After a few days in Cambodia it was time to fly to Thailand and get crazy in Bangkok. A city of contrasts that somewhat did not fulfill our expectations.
Still, we were surprised by the beauty of the Grand Palace and many Buddha Temples around the city. One day and a half was enough and we headed south to the island of Koh Samet were we spend 2 days and a half relaxing.
Short? Yes, it was. But yet it was great!
Getting Back - Bangkok - Dubai (13 hours stopover) - Madrid - Aveiro
